⭐ Ingredients:

For the cake layers (makes 4 thin layers):

  • 6 egg whites
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 cups (200g) finely ground walnuts or almonds
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt

For the cream filling:

  • 6 egg yolks
  • ¾ cup (150g) sugar
  • 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1 tbsp rum or brandy

For topping (optional):

  • Melted chocolate or simple white glaze
  • Extra chopped nuts or walnut halves for garnish
