🥞 Palacsinta – Hungarian Crêpes

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Make the Batter:
    • In a bowl, whisk together flour, eggs, milk, sparkling water, melted butter, sugar (if using), and a pinch of salt until smooth.
    • Let rest for 20–30 minutes.
  2. Cook the Crêpes:
    • Heat a lightly greased non-stick skillet over medium heat.
    • Pour a ladle of batter into the pan, swirl to coat the bottom evenly.
    • Cook 1–2 minutes until edges lift, then flip and cook another 30 seconds.
    • Repeat with remaining batter.
  3. Add the Filling:
    • Spread your choice of filling over each crêpe.
    • Roll up or fold into triangles.
    • For savory version, pour warm paprika sauce over the rolled crêpes.

🍽️ Serve:

  • Sweet ones warm or cold, dusted with powdered sugar.
  • Savory ones hot, with extra sauce on top.
