🍋 Lemon Cream Cheese Bars Recipe


👩‍🍳 Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Make the crust:
    • Mix flour and powdered sugar.
    • Cut in the butter until crumbly.
    • Press into the bottom of the baking dish.
    • Bake for 15–18 minutes or until lightly golden.
  3. Prepare cream cheese layer:
    • Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
    • Add egg and vanilla. Beat well.
    • Spread evenly over the baked crust.
  4. Prepare lemon layer:
    • Whisk eggs, sugar, flour, lemon juice, and zest.
    • Gently pour over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until set in the center and lightly golden.
  6. Cool completely, then refrigerate at least 2 hours before slicing.
  7. Serve with whipped cream or a dusting of powdered sugar.
